Cheap(er) Tyres

Postby simontaylor » Tue Sep 20, 2016 1:30 pm

Been looking for a replacement set of Toyo R888 tyres for sprinting.
235/50 R15 and 195/50 R15 and it seems Camskill no longer has any stock at all.

Adams & Page in High Wycombe are supplying at about 20% less than elsewhere.
Give them a try and ask for Matt.

Just been looking for a new set of rear tyres 245/45 ZR16. Found some Continental Conti sports on TyreLeader.co.uk at £112 per tyre. Hope this is of use to someone.

I ordered mine through blackcircles.com. They send them to a fitter near you. Great price & service. I was very impressed. :up

The 225/50/15 - T1/r & the 235/50/15 -888r tyres are both still listed on the toyo website

I was just wondering if they were stopping making the 225/50R15 T1...they are no longer listed @ blackcicles and i noticed that quite a few other sites have them marked as out of stock......

You could well be right Jules. Toyo list them but i cant see a dealer with them on their site. Maybeit needs direct contact with Toto to ask if they are available. It will be a real pain if not as they are both cheap & very good.

For what it's worth I replaced the two rear tyres on my GTA last March with Pirelli P Zero Nero GT 255/40ZR17 (94Y) BSW from Mytyres online. I was impressed by their price @ £101 each inc vat. Apart from having trouble with getting one of them to seal on the rim initially they are proving to give a better ride than the old Pirellis that they replace.
