Winner Racing Rad, which one to buy?

Postby phildini » Wed Jul 26, 2017 9:53 pm

Hi guys, I know a few of you have bought one of these, but which one should I buy for a standard GTA Turbo. Will the 70mm or 56mm fit ok? Many thanks for your help

I have bought a couple of these they're pretty good for the price, fit the thick one if you do not have air-conditioning if you have Aircon you have to have to fit the thin one,

Speak with Tony Law, I think they send you a thin one as they dont have the thick ones.

Thin one is very similar to standard size, but be delicate aluminium is softer than copper and the outlet pipes can be easily damaged as happened to mine.

Doesn't matter which one you order they all come the same regardless of the description so just go for cheapest.

Tony law has bad experience of this.

If you want the thicker Europa cup one you will need to order from elsewhere.

As a matter of interest Guys ........ If fitting a thicker radiator, is the fitting of the air scoop impeded in any way so that it does not fit correctly against the radiator, thus allowing air to escape into the wheel arches instead of being forced through the core ?

Can't remember which one I bought, I think it was the thin one.
Quality isn't perfect, but ok and seems to hold water.

Only caveat I found is that the dimensions and some mounting holes were a bit off, it did require a little fettling with the Dremel to get it to fit right

The current ones don't come with any holes at all.Last one had the mounting lugs on the top ......They all seem to need trimming to fit .Get what you pay for but they did respond to my complaint quickly and offered to compensate for work required to make it good.

If you have AC fit a modern multi pass alloy AC rad, thinner, lighter and allows you to fit the bigger version of the main rad- will just need some mounting brackets
