I just bought a A110 and now I’m looking for a Pdf of A110 manuals, can anyone help me out.

I don't know of any manuals in pdf format but a few years ago I bought one on eBay, I think from this same seller.

It's not an original but a copy of an original manual. It has, what I consider, basic information only. It has all the specification data but little in the way of dismantling/reassembly/diagnostic information. With ownership, if you do work on the car, you'll develop knowledge by experience. The text is in French which may, or may not, be a problem.

I have a collection of other manuals that are far more useful. These are ones for cars that share components with the A110 such as the suspension with the Renault 8. Some of these manuals I've found on eBay. Most things you need are covered. I have the following:-

- Intereurope Workshop manual 124 Renault 8 and Floride to 1967. This is old and the illustrations aren't cross-referenced to the text very well.
- Haynes Renault 8 and 10 workshop manual (ISBN 900550 79 1). A good manual for the 1289cc engine, gearbox, drive shafts, front and rear suspension, ignition system, clutch, brakes and steering
- Autobooks Renault 8, 10 1962-71 Autobook 715 (ISBN 0 85147 657 0). Similar to the Haynes above but less comprehensive.
- Haynes Renault 5 workshop manual (ISBN 1 85010 190 6). I obtained this one purely for the engine section as it covers the type 840, 1397cc crossflow Gordini engine.

As a matter of interest, which A110 model have you bought and which engine size? If it's a 1600cc then a Haynes for the Renault 16 would be useful.

Thanks for all the information, now that I know what to look for I will have a search to find them.

I just bought a Mexican Variant, it started life as a 1969 1100 but was used as a race/ rally car for many years. So I’m now at the discovery stage of working out what it now has, I belive that it has a 2ltr Renault 18 engine but I haven't verified that yet abd a 4 speed box.

Currently I’m just trying to find the dam fuse box!

An interesting car and looks to be in good condition.

You may never find the fuse box, mine doesn't have one. I'm not absolutely certain that it applies to all models and manufacturing country of the A110 but I have heard this before where others have commented about the lack of a fuse box. Mine has relays for the headlights and I've added some in-line fuses in the past.

In the 80s I used to have a Renault Fuego GTX with the 2 litre engine and still have the Autodata repair manual (ISBN 0-85666-323-9) that covers the Fuego and the R18. According to the manual the engine code is 829 which should appear as the first three numbers on a plate attached to the engine.

Must be the one I saw at Chateau Impney last year

Where are the relays on your A110 located? That will give me a great headstart, the electrical system shorted via the cigarette lighter and blew most of the ancilliary items.

As for the engine I have attached a picture if the enginer number see what you think. Anyminfo would be great.

Yours actually has a cigarette lighter! I added one to run the satnav.

The relay, actually only one (I was thinking of the A310 relays) is inside the front boot. On the side wall, on the driver's side, low down in front of the chassis cross member.

The Fuego manual also has the J6R reference for the 2 litre overhead cam engine.

The cigarette lighter has an Alpine motif on it... pretty cool until it blew my electrics!

Got it,,, I had a search but no luck... stupid question does it look like a normal relay ie square with 4 terminals.

I think I’m probably struggling because of the work done to the car previously.

Here’s a pic under the bonnet, I’m pretty sure that it has a race petrol tank, which may be blocking my view.

Yes, it's probably quite different to the original 1100cc car with the obvious engine change and the front boot photo shows the front mounted radiator which I think would have been a later modification to the original rear radiator arrangement. I also notice in the photo of the car that it has a single, central windscreen wiper. I've never seen that before. Can't see the two screen wash jets either.

The relay on my car is roughly to the right and lower down than the brake fluid reservoir in the photo of your car. You could trace the headlight wiring back and see where it goes. You could also look under the dashboard to see what's there. Not the most comfortable of jobs as you need to lie on your back in the passenger footwell to see everything.
According to the No.1 issue (August 1997) of the Mille Miles magazine, that shape plastic fuel tank was used from 1973 onwards. Mine has the smaller steel tank. I don't know anything about the cars built in Mexico but I'd guess the tank was a later addition.

And Yes your right on the wiper it looks strange to me... especially since it doesnt work.. another thinf to add to the list!

Gazoline magazine in France made and released a DVD in pdf form on the A110 in 2004 . Probably some still knocking around.
