Custom stainless steel GTA exhaust back-box.

Postby murf » Fri Oct 27, 2017 4:06 pm

I've recently fitted an alternative system to my GTA so the back box that was fitted is now for sale. I believe that it was fabricated by the previous owner for the car and is in good sound condition. It is quiet and without the harsh resonance sometimes associated with stainless systems.
If anyone is interested then I'm open to offers.

That looks like a nice bit of kit, what did you replace it with?

never thought I would want a list but now find myself needing one just to remind me: Clio V6 230, 5 gt turbo, 5 Gordini turbo, Megane RS 300 Trophy.

Mark has guessed correctly. I've now fitted the replacement after a lot of fiddling about to get clearances correct and all seems ok so far. The new box seems to give a slightly better pick up than before but isn't any noisier so I'm delighted.
My tame garage loaned me a four post ramp which made the whole operation a lot easier than crawling around at home on the gravel and while I was under the car I luckily noticed that the alternator belt was on it's last legs so have fitted a new one.

Ps Original back-box now sold.
