Fuel lines

Postby pgoldsmith » Sat Jan 20, 2018 11:21 am

Is the larger of the two fuel lines that run down the underneath of the GTA feed or return ?

(Photo is underneath the car looking up at the nearside close to gearbox)

None of the above....You are looking at the brake line, clutch line and servo line there.

Fuel lines are on the RHS.They are green and the same sizes. They feed up to the catch tank in the wheel arch and are tight up between gearbox and tunnel.Return is the higher into this catch tank.
Trace from the front as it's difficult to see.The feed is the pipe that pokes through the side of the tunnel to lifter pump up front.Return goes straight to the tank.

Thanks Lee. It was the three under the centre of the car that I was interested in. In particular the larger pipe, as mine has some surface corrosion and was concerned it may be fuel feed / return.

Forgot to mention, I finally got the gear linkage bush on and levered it onto the gearbox lever ball.

What a faff. I sincerely hope I dont have to do that fix again in a hurry!!

Meh ...balls are not too bad once you've done a couple of dozen......Rather do that than the Aux belt on a clio 172...if you think room is tight on GTA ..........
