Oil cooler hoses

Postby darrenbiggs » Tue Mar 20, 2018 11:49 am

Hi all. Does anyone know the internal diameter of the oil cooler hoses (middle of pic)?

Save me having to take them off and then measure and order up.

Thanks Lee. I was looking at wire reinforced silicone hose (less kinking) to replace those two as I reckon those should suffice for the bends? With the others fitted I'll probably be 90% complete -

I think I have 1 black silicon hose for the cooler.
Other option is to just bin it and put in a U...I've done this a few times ...this fits

Think they are slightly different diameters ID either end, hence the visible reduction in OD.

May have Samco in stock but only red.

Yeh but in reality there is no great difference and the rot and grime usually mean you have to slide the new hoses a lot further along the pipe anyway ....
I'd bin the cooler given a free hand.....Filter direct to the block .

I purchased and used one of these, so I would say 16mm.

and I just measured the oil cooler fitting pipe.....16mm.

My oil cooler metal pipes have some serious corrosion. I have one replacement pipe ( the short one) but not the longer pipe.
Sounds like the whole part of this can be removed and bypasse, is that correct?
