Saab V6 turbo

Postby darrenbiggs » Thu Oct 27, 2005 8:26 am

Check out the new Saab engine - 2.8 V6 Turbo. A fairly large capacity V6 with a single turbo centrally mounted...... remind anyone of anything?

Oh and flexi-joints on the very high-tech manifolds!

Vectra estate

Postby Tony Smith » Thu Oct 27, 2005 4:55 pm

Prepare to have your GTA's embarassed by the new Vectra Estate which will be running the same engine! 258 bhp 160 mph from a low stressed , low boost engine - should be good for massive power with some tinkering - you'll be able to buy one for 5K in 3 years time too!
Alpines - GTA 3.0 Turbo, GTA 3.0 Inj (Project DD), GTA 6.2 V8 (500 bhp) , R32 Skyline GTR, BMW Alpina B10 635 Highline, Alpina B10 E39 5 Series, Jaguar 4.2 XKR, Laguna 205GT, BMW 120d.

Ah, but you know these modern engines, they are all high compression turbocharged, so boost levels as we know it are not relevant anymore..:D
