The WM P87 Peugeot with a Peugeot Douvrin V6 prepared by the Denis Mathiot Competition took the Endurance Racing Speed Record in 1987. The Driver Francois Migault achieved the speed of 416 km/h!

This is what the 900hp prv v6 was capable of that dave mentioned earlier.

Agree with you there Peter just what the spider needs

This is the kind of car Alpine should be making these days.

I hadn't realised but Peugeot have turned their RC Spade/Ace concept from a few years back into a single make racer, running on bio-diesel. The concept cars did about 50 mpg and 0-60 in about 6 secs, I can't find any info on the racers but they must be significantly quicker.

And I think they look great particularly in side profile.

Ahh, thats the new, new setup. They use a Ferrarri lump.

The first Helems had a 3.0 PRV twin turbo at 550bhp at 1.3 bar boost on Motronic management.

the V8 spec engine from what I could find was only tested in a spider couldnt find any reference to it going in the hardtop although I hope they do, saying that I cant believe they wont have already done this I mean when you've got all the bits lying around it would be rude not to.

Cant see the ferrari engine getting anywhere near that sort of output without forced induction of some kind!

I think the concept 220 looks very nice but I reckon the guy has photoshopped a 911 Porshe

Tony, I was thinking that. The back quarter line is 911.
