Someone sent me the link to this auction recently. This is Chris Harris's website no?

Would be interesting to hear your experience of this website as there were a fair few gems on there. There also seems to be a few unsuccessful auctions. Yours seems to have garnered some interest at least!

Its a 1997 car with now 29.7k miles on the clock. Cambelt changed in 2014 at 24k. Really tidy engine bay and just had rear suspension tidy up including powder coated wishbones. Has had new starter motor and battery in the past year. Engine oil and filter along with brake fluid changed earlier this year.
Other than a Scorpion exhaust and rear engine cover strut it is completely original. Running factory cat at the moment but have de cat pipe which will be supplied with the car. Have complete original exhaust but condition of it is unknown. Supplied with tonneau cover and also a bespoke hood/rain cover. MOT until July 2020.
Has had one headlight cover replaced with a plastic type in the past and have a brand new plastic one for the other side which is still original.
looking for oiro £24K
located near Stansted Airport.

My alpine is for sale to fund a property purchase

My reserve was met (the cheapest alpine in Europe!) but buyer withdrew so no sale...not the best experience but better than dealing with the incompetent/unprofessional fools at the auction house founded in 1919, who still owe me money.

Please let me know if there are any genuine buyers out there and put them in touch :)

My A610 is now for sale. Loads of work done at RATS last year and not used it since. Shame it's just sat in the garage so needs a new chapter in it's life. I also have a GTA Turbo I have bought as a small project (again not moved since I picked it up in March) so can't keep both.

Would an Alpine dealer not be able to pay that sort of money for straight cash? Most for sale seem to be over list price.

Most an alpine dealer offered was mid 40s
But I have readvertised on car and classic, a dealer rang within an hour and said my price was dead on.

As a general rule with new run of the mill cars what people forget is that the price you have paid was plus Vat, so normally you loose that money as soon as you drive it out of the dealership, so the new Alpine has around £11,000 pounds of Vat.
Obviously cars in short supply or in high demand this does not affect, I am in the process of changing our general car and the number of pre registered cars with 10 miles on the clock and yes its just about minus the Vat element what they are asking.
As a private sale of newer cars you can’t expect to get dealer money as they have their overheads plus by law they have to give some sort of warranty on the car and back up which you are not having to do, plus they can offer finance or p c p and on the cars and on big numbers that makes a difference to potential new owners.
