I'm thinking ahead here....but I could swing us a stand at the Cumbria classic car show for August next year if anyones interested. Its at Dalemain house at Penrith, so its only a couple of miles from the M6. About 1 1/2 hrs from Manchester......it would be a nise Sunday out...the scenery is stunning roundabout and the weather was good this year :D

I had some nice lady reverse into the front of me. Insuance tried to write the vehicle off challegned them over it engineer in charge of the case had not reported proceedings to the claims dept. as far as they knew it had been sorted! Finally agreed to repair the damage & have now been waiting 12 wks for a new nose cone to arrive still no sign of it & renault claim they have no way of knowing when it will turn up so im now playing a waiting game. It's been off the road since june when it happend

Sorry to hear that. I can empathise after a nice lady drove into the side of mine earlier this year. Luckily the panels could be repaired and I got it sorted but I know how much hassle all this insurance business can be.

Have you tried sourcing a nose cone yourself instead of waiting for Renault? Have you tried posting a parts request? David G is breaking a GTA at the moment. Maybe he could help?

yeh that was my first plan of action if they were going to write it off but my insurers came back with a lame excuse along the lines of if it is not a new OE part from renault then it would be excluded from any claims in the future, similar to what they have said when i informed them of the modifications to it except the mods would be replaced with OE parts in event of a claim. Needless to say once the repairs are carried out i wont be renewing with them!

Meeting Sunday 20th November

Postby BIG_MVS » Fri Nov 04, 2005 8:15 am

So far myself, Juzz and Empty going anyone else fancy it? 12pm sound OK as a time?

Here are directions to get there:

From roundabout at the junction of M56 (Junction 7) A56 and A556(T), take A556(T) towards M6 (south or south west if you have a compass!); in less than 2 miles you will reach the traffic lights at The Swan, Bucklow Hill. You need to be in the outside lane. Do not turn right at the lights but almost immediately after the traffic lights (about 10 yards), turn right into Bucklow Hill Lane. Continue along Bucklow Hill Lane to Hulseheath Lane and keep left at the junction. As you approach the main road you will see the Kilton on the left.

If coming from the M6 go towards Manchester on the A556 and turn left onto the A50 towards Warrington at Mere Traffic Lights and the Kilton is ¾ mile on the right.

Look forward to seeing you all there.
