If you were one of the people you see in magazines who build mad cars over numerous years I could see it happening......but youre looking to pay someone to do this for you....the worlds most expensive GTA springs to mind....and it may be a pig to drive at that!!!
If you are desperate to do this, I would suggest getting someone to make up a spaceframe to keep the integrity of the rear end, do away with the rear passenger space and take it off the road and have it as a competition only car.

I really don't see the point tho .IMO you should get the best out of the original design/setup ,it's not a GTA if you put in a different engine so might as well get a kit car and do the job properly ..........ULTIMA
