Dont EVER use Iverson tyre Co.

Postby shadmonk » Sat Nov 05, 2005 6:31 pm

Took one of my Gotti split rims to tyre place today to have new tyre put on for my 310. The rim was in perfect condition. They couldn't get a new tyre on the rim and in the process managed to bend the inner rim in 2 places using a crow bar or something!!!
Then he had the nerve to deny it- and said it was bent in the first place..
Aghhhhhh!!

Shadi. You're not having much luck with those Gottis. Is that the wheel you just had the new outer rim fitted to today :?:

Insist the tyre compnay pay for a new inner rim. You'll end up with all brand new rims at this rate.

Better give the address if you want to name and shame properly.

What about the name and address of the guy that tried to straighten them with a large mallet the first time as well. I know that I'd certainly like to avoid that place too.

Yep Steve.
Paul fitted brand new outer rim from france to the Gotti wheel yesterday. then took it to have tyre put on, and Iverson F****** Tyres bent the inner rim!!- in 2 places!!!
Iverson tyre Co, boston manor, hanwell, london.
Original poor repair to rim was done by Superlite wheels, in bristol, i think.

I had a long argument with the manager. He still denies bending the rim- I SAW HIM do it...
He has however proposed a way of settling the dispute. He will pay half towards a new rim / repair, and he offered to put a new exhaust system on my honda civic for free (approx 140£)- cos it has rusted through.
So, at least some consollation...

Sounds like a fair result. Hope you don't have to wait too long for the rim. Perhaps you'd better order some spares for future mishaps. According to Sods law if you have spares then nothing else will happen!
